Here is a testimonial by a gentleman called Tom Buckley

My name is Tom Buckley and I think the SLICK SHIFT GATE is one of those simple devices which is also outstanding in its performance. I’ve been an amateur race driver with the SCCA for 20 years and always prided myself on smooth , precise, and quick shifts . I ran a A-H Sprite for 15 years then Formula Vee for the last few. I’m not racing at the present time because I had a stroke on Christmas Eve 2001. The stroke initially left my right side virtually paralyzed. I could barely walk even with the aid of a cane, could hardly speak and could not move my right arm, hand, and fingers at all. Now, 1 ½ years later, thanks to some fine doctors, therapists, and my own stubbornness, I speak fine, can walk (slow) without a cane, and can move my arm, wrist, and hand. But, for now, my muscles are still very weak.

What has all this got to do with Paul Hill’s fine product? Well, I sold the Formula Vee but kept my Ferrari. She’s a 1988 Mondial coupe and I couldn’t drive her until September of last year. Now those of you who have driven the infamous Ferrari gated shifter know that shifting quickly from 1-2 and 3-4 can be a challenge. For a person recovering from a stroke it can be downright frustrating. Well, Paul’s simple device makes shifting so much more precise that, with the increased speed, I now find that I have to actually speed up my clutch work. Previously, The weakness in my right arm had been the limiting factor in smooth, quick shifts.

My dream is to race a 308 in SCCA . The first modification will be to install a SLICK SHIFT GATE.

Thanks Paul.

Thank you Tom - We was all very touched by the way the Slick Shift gate had changed the experience with your Ferrari.
